Different BMI scores mean

Overweight: You have a BMI between 25.0 and 29.9, which means you are overweight but not obese.

Obese: You have a BMI of 30 or higher. This means you are obese.

Underweight: You have a BMI of 18.5 or less, which means you are underweight.

Normal weight: You have a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9, which means you are a normal weight.

There is more than meets the eye when it comes to BMI scores. Just because someone has a high BMI score does not necessarily mean they are overweight.

In fact, someone with a high BMI score could be perfectly healthy, and conversely, someone with a low BMI score could be overweight.

This is because BMI scores are not always accurate, and they do not take into account factors like muscle mass, bone density, and body fat percentage.

BMI should not be used as the sole measure of someone’s health.

If you are concerned about your weight, it is best to talk to your doctor. They will be able to give you a more accurate assessment of your health.
